The gift of tangible expression is, quite literally, the gift of our time and the ability for the receiver to hold it, hold on to it, and to come back again and again.

Brian Collins

I keep coming back to this quote that I scribbled down in 2020 while listening to Brian and Nick from COLLINS in conversation with the team from Mohawk on their rebrand of Crane. To me it captures one important aspect of why real things feel so personal and relevant long after so many digital artifacts vanish from memory: that ability to be passed on, not so much from person to person, but through time.
